Američka glumica Keli Preston preminula je u 58 godini od raka dojke, saopštio je danas njen suprug Džon Travolta.

On je rekao da je Preston preminula posle dve godine borbe sa bolešću, prenosi AP.

„Teška srca obaveštavam vas da je moja prelepa supruga Keli izgubila dvogodišnju bitku sa rakom dojke. Hrabro se borila uz ljubav i podršku svih nas“, rekao je Travolta. Glumac je najavio da će se na neko vreme povući iz javnosti, kako bi on i njihova deca u miru odbolovali ovaj veliki gubitak.

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.  My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.  But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. U braku sa Travoltom bila je 29 godina i sa njim ima ćerku Elu (20) i sina Bendžamina (9), dok je sin Džet preminuo 2009. godine.

Poznata je po ulogama u filmovima Blizanci i Džeri Mekgvajer, a poslednji fim koji je snimila je „Poslednja pesma“ sa Majli Sajrus.
